Network hardware maker TRENDnet is claiming the title of world's smallest 802.11n USB adapter. It measures an amazing 0.59 x 0.74 x 0.28 inches (1.5 x 1.9 x 0.7 cm) and when plugged into a USB port, the unit extends only 0.3 inches (0.8 cm) out from the edge.
With 802.11n being built into most new laptops nowadays, this kind of adapter is mostly useful on older PCs that need an upgrade to Wireless N.
